Could you describe your job?
My job consists mainly in controlling and enforcing the production processes & times in the plant. I’m also Responsible for the supervision of production processes, ensuring quality standards and industrial safety at the plant. My other missions are to create the requirement of ingredients and supplies for the production at the warehouse.
To sum up, I take the best decisions to maximize productivity.
When did you join the company?
I have been working at Symrise Aqua Feed since March 2015. I started in the spray dryer packaging area, then I was an evaporation Operator. With time, I became the leading operator of the drying area. During that time, I always contributed ideas, good attitude, commitment, and positive predisposition. Symrise Aqua Feed trusted my abilities and gave me the opportunity to develop as a professional. Alongside my “Production Supervisor” position, I am currently starting my second semester in Business Administration at a local University in Ecuador.
Could you tell us what is a typical day as a “Production Supervisor”?
Every day, we start with a short meeting done at each change of shifts with the supervisor (plant update, keep everyone informed of how the processes are going and any problems or risks). Then, the day continues with revisions and filling records, indicators, signing charts, and entering information in different forms and system.
Constantly report any anomaly that happens during the shift and how the production process is going.
What has your experience at Symrise Aqua Feed been so far?
I have been learning how to work as a team, taking new challenges, assuming and facing my mistakes. Working with many professionals has been a great experience for me so far.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
What I enjoy the most is that I can interact with many people (from managers to operators) and from all of them I learn something every day at Symrise Aqua Feed.
What are your passions in life?
Learning. I enjoy learning every day and I also love listening to music.
Could you tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I love dancing but I’m not a good dancer. But I don’t care, I simply enjoy it because it brightens up the family gatherings.
