When did you start working in the company? What were your previous experiences (evolution in the company or outside)?

I started working at Symrise Aqua Feed in June 2021. Before joining Symrise, I had worked as an Aquaculture Research Technical Staff in an Aquafeed company’s R&D center for 5 years.

For me, this transition feels like moving from being the person behind the scenes to being at the forefront, engaging directly with customers.

Could you describe your job?

As a Sales Assistant, I support all sales activities and coordinate between our customers and our internal teams: supply chain, logistics, quality assurance, accounting, finance, etc. Typically, I am in contact with customers throughout the order process, following up on continuous orders with current customers, working on sales contracts, and helping customers in case they need anything or encounter any issues with delivery or quality.

I collaborate with my APAC sales team for the monthly sales forecasts reviewing and send it to our headquarters in France. Additionally, when dealing with new prospects, I assist our sales manager with sending out product samples. For new customers, I am the contact person for their new product registration process.

I also handle some marketing tasks, such as organizing exhibition events and creating giveaways for special occasions like the New Year festival.

Could you tell us what is a typical day as a « APAC Sales Assistant »?

My typical day normally starts with checking emails: are there any new orders I have to create in our system? Is there any issue from a customer that they need our support with? I try to prioritize the new orders first since they are vital for our sales team. After that, I support customers with their issues, take note of the problems, and co-coordinate with our internal team. I also assist all of my sales managers with whatever help they need.

Normally, my day revolves around finding solutions, solving problems, and delivering customer satisfaction.

What has your experience at Symrise Aqua Feed been so far?

I've learned a lot and gained a bunch of experience here. I talk to and meet a lot of interesting people. I encounter new challenges every day. I feel like there are so many new things to learn and deal with every day, and it keeps me active.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy working with the great people and be part of such an awesome team. They're all about support, good vibes, and funny. It's like we're on this cool journey of growth, and our teamwork is super strong.

What are your passions in life?

Photography is one of my passions. I love taking landscape photos of beautiful towns, buildings, or nature. So, the love of traveling also comes with being a photographer, even though it has been less for me since the pandemic. But when I see a beautiful scenario, it makes my heart flutter. I like finding the beautiful aspects and trying to capture them with my camera.

Could you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

I'm a bit of a cinephile. I don't just love watching movies and TV series, I also enjoy delving into the details. I'm intrigued by how scenes are crafted, uncovering the symbolic elements hidden in the scene, exploring the cast and crew, and even predicting potential Oscar winners.
