Could you describe your job?

My function is based on 3 pillars, for which I am accountable at CODIR level: Quality, Regulatory & Sustainability.

To achieve this,

• I initiate & represent the strategy of Symrise Aqua Feed for these 3 pillars
• I animate the Quality/Regulatory/Sustainability team
• I accompany the growth of Symrise Aqua Feed in these scopes

In 2021-2022, I am also working on the Symphony project for the site of Elven, which is the implementation of SAP. I am the SAP referent for Aqua, and Local Key User – Regulatory.

When did you join the company?

I started my career in various food industries, before joining Diana & Symrise in 2006.

Within Symrise, I started in Pet Food, and moved to Aqua Feed 10 years ago, first as Development & Technical Support Engineer.

I am working at my current position since its creation in 2016.

Could you tell us what is a typical day as a “Quality, Regulatory & Sustainability Manager”?

I have real multi-tasks days.

Sometimes my job is very operational, for example when we have to answer to customer inquiries, deal with a product nonconformity, do risk assessment or solve a regulatory issue.

I regularly consolidate reports, to evaluate our performance: then we work with the teams to assess our results, share ideas, and find solutions for improvement.

In the field of sustainability, I work with the other divisions of Symrise, to ensure full alignment of the sustainability strategy.

And finally, I also contribute on the driving strategy of Symrise Aqua Feed, to prepare our future.

What has your experience at Symrise Aqua Feed been so far?

Thanks to my different positions within the company, I learned a lot and I am happy to share this knowledge.

I have seen my current position evolving and growing, with the growth of Aqua Feed and new markets expectations. Notably, sustainability is taking a bigger place than ever, a real satisfaction for me. With the team, we pay attention to put sustainability at the core of our missions.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

I really like the Aqua Feed project: I strongly believe in our sustainable model and in our products. Also, I have the chance to work with very valuable and open-minded people, I feel lucky for this.

And finally, there is still so many things to learn, and so many things to do at Aqua Feed, that I really like to continue this challenging journey!

What are your passions in life?

For me, the most important is my family and my friends, and I love spending time with my 3 kids. They take my energy and for sure give me a lot…. enough to play outdoor sports, such as hiking, running, walking, climbing, doing paddle… I am always enthusiastic to discover new outdoor activities. I also have a big collection of comics, that I love to read.

Could you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

Since 2 years, I am a beekeeper: with friends, we have learned how to take care of bees. And last year, we were very proud to collect our first kilos of honey… delicious of course!
